The thing about John Green is that he writes all these beautiful words and makes you fall in love and then he takes it away in the most beautiful way he can imagine and you're left there wondering what the hell happened and how you got so involved in something that you were just reading. Even though it's sad, it's still funny and there's a sense of normality to it. He adds humour to make it okay that something really bad has just happened.
The Fault in Our Stars is about a group of young adults who have different kinds of cancer and they go to a cancer support group. It's at this support group that a girl finds a boy and they fall in love. It's all very tragic because they know that their time might be up. So they make the best of what they've got. Then it's all about probabilities and time. And in a likelihood to survive in an 80-20, you'd think you were in the 80% side, then you're not. Then you realise that John Green's right, "Time is a slut, she screws everybody."
If you read this book, prepare for a rocky ride. Bring tissues. Don't fall in love with the characters.

The Fault in Our Stars is one of the most hyped about books by John Green. The plot of the book plus Green's writing style makes it a really great book. This is not generally the type of book I go for. I am not much into such tear-jerkers novels. I like fast reads, but TFiOS is an exception. I loved the book. I won't write the synopsis or give any spoilers. All I would like to say is that this book gives you a lot of positive messages. Read it really slowly and in a quiet atmosphere, you will find it magical and greatly moving. Highly recommended.
