The Snail Mail Revolution

Who doesn't love writing letters!? I don't know how we ever let snail mail die. There are a lot people who are bringing it back on Instagram and it's really great. I have now aquired 9 pen pals and I have such fun writing to them and anticipating things in the mail. It's good getting to know people all over the world!

This is a letter I put together for someone in Ukraine. I thought I'd share this one with you because I made it extra pretty. I'll share more if I feel it's one you should see!

Cutting Your Own Project Life Cards

I've been obsessed with Project Life ever since I started scrapbooking, but when I went to Hobby Craft, there was no way I could afford all the things I needed. Thankfully TKMaxx stock paper pads from American Crafts and they're gorgeous and for a fraction of the price. So what I've been doing is using those, and cutting out my own Project Life cards. It's time consuming, but I like cutting paper. The cutting of round corners is what gets me. So I've decided I need to buy a paper trimmer and a round corner punch. I worry that it will make the corners too round. What do you think?

Here are some really pretty ones I made earlier this week.

Get To Know Me Tag

This was going around on Instagram, but I thought I would share it here for any of my followers on here to get a better idea of me.

Filofax Pretties: Week 5

We're never too old for Hello Kitty :p How childlike does this week want to be? I love it though. I'm excited about next week! When payday comes, I need to buy some yellow and orange washis because they are lacing from my collection!

Filofax Pretties: Week 4

I like this week because...CATS!

I'm excited about cinema times this week. I've been wanting to see both films since they came out, these are the only days we've all been free. I'm also planning on doing some crafty things during the week but haven't written them in yet because I'm not sure what they'll be.

I joined a group on FB called UK Planner Addicts and I'm having so much fun on there. It's nice chatting to ladies who have the same enthusiasm about planners and crafts!

Recipe: Cumin and Paprika Oven Vegetables

If there's one thing I love, it's vegetables and seeing as I'm trying to get fit, I've been eating a lot more of them so I've been experimenting with spices and stuff. I've found that I really like cumin and I really like paprika so I mixed them together in this roasted vegetable dish and I love the result. This is now one of my favourite ways to have vegetables and I like it because you just chuck all the ingredients into the dish and stick it in the oven. My favourite kind of cooking is when I don't have to look after the food I'm cooking, I can just leave it to cook, knowing that it will be responsible and not do anything it's not supposed to.

So what you're going to want to do is get some veggies! I've gone for:
2 Courgettes (sliced)
2 Red Onions (wedged)
1 Butternut (sliced)
3 Sweet Potatoes (sliced)
Some Parsnips (I bought the frozen ones and just put about half of the bag in)

Then I added these spices to it:
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Black Pepper
2 tbsp Cumin
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Oil

Then give it a little pix in the Pyrex dish!

Finally, put it in the oven for about 30-35 minutes. When the butternut and parsnips are soft then it's ready because they usually take the longest.

When it's done all the veggies will be nice and soft and will be coated in lovely spices!

This evening I served mine with Salt and Pepper Chicken Breast and Tomato Spaghetti and it was delicioso! A nice healthy, and yummy way to get the veggies!

Filofax Pretties: Week 3

Isn't time just flying by? We're just about half way through Jan and it feels like I was watching New Years Fireworks just the other day! I realised that I kept using green in my previous weeks, I must really like green. So I tried to be a bit different this week and went for blue, pink and orange! It's super pretty!

I love that fox pagemarker! They were in a set of sticky notes from Paperchase and they were on sale. Can't say no to that!

I've been proactive this Monday and did do all the things that I wrote down and said I was going to do. The music playlist, I've scheduled to be posted on Weds so keep and eye out for it! I'm feeling good. Week 1 of Get Fit has passed by and although I worked out 5 days, I did have a bit of rubbish eating. So this week I've decided to be much cleaner with my eating and it's going well already. Today has been a good eating day.

Perfect Presents

My wonderful friend, Beth, bought these for me for Christmas and she knows me very well because I will love any present from Paperchase! I can't wait to do my nails, I might do them tomorrow actually! The stitched journal is just perfect. I wish I had good things to write in it, but I just don't know what to put in there. If only I were a writer.

Filofax Pretties: Week 2

This week is a nice calm week. Everything is back to normal and it's all quiet. I've decided to start being fit again so yesterday was day one. I have a fitness plan which I can show you tomorrow. I forgot to take photos of it today. It's only day two, but I feel positive about it.

My decorating this week features the new tape I got from a stall in Shoreditch. It really is too cute!

The weekend before this one was a big weekend for me. I drove on the motorway for the first time. Although the weather was really bad on Saturday, I survived it! I feel proud of myself for the way my driving has improved recently! I'm feeling confident about it now.
