Washi Wednesday: Washi Birthday Card
All you need to do this make is a blank card, some washi tape and a pen. I've 6 different ones for these but you could do it with any amount of washi you want!
You can use co-ordinating washi or whatever you like! Just have fun with it!
All you have to do is do strips of washi in varying lengths. You don't even need to cut them with scissors. I just folded the ends into the inside of the card. That way, you get a nice bit of decoration inside the card too and with minimal effort.
There you have it, a simple yet fun handmade card! All that's left to do is write a nice birthday message!

Now you need to take your pen and use it draw little flames on your candles. You can use whichever pen you like for this. Here I used a black fineliner and filled it in with a gold marker.

Knitting and Stitching Show Haul
On the weekend, the lovely ladies of Trinket Trade and I, went to The Knitting and Stitching Show. You gotta keep tradition going! I must say, the show has changed a lot since the first year. I have to be honest and say that I preferred it in it's first year. There was a bigger emphasis on all sorts of craft, like papercraft, cake making, knitting, crochet and stitching. It went from three floors, to one and there are about 3 papercraft stalls, none of them stocking stuff like the first year. There were so much more bargains to be had! This year the focus was mainly on knitting and stitching, hence the name 'The Knitting and Stitching Show', but it was nice to have the other stalls in previous years.
I went with a shopping list, the majority of which was focused around scrapbooking and papercraft. Thus, I was a bit disheartened to find that the scrapbooking stall I was hoping for was not there. I can't even remember what it was called from the previous years, but I know I loved it! Someone help me out?
This year I bought a lot of fabric because the fabric was just too gorgeous to pass up! There were ideas whizzing around my head of what I could make, so at least I was feeling inspired!
I also signed up to Mollie Makes! It was on a special offer and it's really such a lovely magazine! It will inspire me further!
Aren't they gorgeous!! I am so excited to get sewing with them. Check out Favourite Fabrics for more lovely fabrics!
I can't remember the stall where I got these from, but I really could not resist! I think I bought these after I said "That's it! No more fabric!!"
Watch this space for future sojoey creations!

More Craft Days
Today I had another lovely craft day with Josie at Josie Makes. We actually met to discuss our future plans for a business with our friend Laura too (who doesn't have a blog yet, but will soon if I have anything to do with it!) Josie and I have jumped in the Filofax wagon and had fun planning things and dreaming big!
Look how pretty Josie's dashboard is. That's really some pretty tape! We both have custom dividers that I made but I'm still waiting on my hole punch. I should get it this week! We're both going to be so much more organised now. Look out for my Filofax week, every Monday!
We are planning to have our own business so today there were a lot of ideas flowing and we've been reading business plans and business books. We feel the plan is slowly but steadily being put into motion.
And of course, no craft day is complete without a little bit of crafting. I'm trying to finish these snowy hearts off so I can give them to someone to sell at a fair. I've got about 4 left to do so I should finish those this week. The 'J' here is a perfect example of Josie's fine embroidery skills. She's making this into a necklace for me and it will be beautifuller when it's all done! If you want to buy a personalised necklace for Christmas perhaps, just check out her website!

Scrapbooking Haul
New tapes and new papers! For those are my favourite things in my life right now. The tapes were from Tiger and the papers from TKMaxx, love love them all!
It's really hard not to be obsessed with paper when they're as pretty as these are. It's been half term and it has been quite busy so I haven't really had a chance to do any scrapbooking but I should have time this week. The end of this week and the weekend is going to be good! I have a lot planned, including seeing deer at Richmond Park, a tea party and pizza and cinema times. It's going to be goooood.
