Currently Working On: Roses Cross Stitch

I've been promising to make a cushion for my grandma for ages, but I haven't got around to it. I've decided that now is the time. I trawled the internet for Rose patterns but none of them really stood out to me so I looked in some of the craft books I have and found that Cath Kidston's Stitch! book was perfect. It has just the right kind of pattern I was looking for. My grandma will also feel very fancy knowing it's a Cath Kidston design!

As of right now, I've done the bottom of  one of the roses and tonight I'll be working to at least getting all of the mid pink on one of the roses done. I doubt I'll get as much done as I hoped because I'm off to the cinema in a little bit. We're seeing Prisoners tonight and How I Live Now tomorrow night. I'm very excited for both of them!

My Birthday Weekend 2013

I haven't worn this dress in forever! I actually think I just wore it for my Graduation 3 years ago and then maybe a couple of times after that but that's all! Recently discovered it again and love it!

These are the Docklands. We actually went in the cable cars across the river and I'm so glad it was sunny!

Josie and I went to another Craft Show. This one was called Creative Stitches and Hobby Craft and took place at the ExCel Center, London. I thought it would be different to the Knitting and Stitching Show that was at Olympia, but it was very similar. The differences were that there was more paper craft at this one and other types of craft, like nail art and such. There was a catwalk which was cool, and exhibited lots of handmade clothes. There was this incredible knitted sea house and everything in it and surrounding it was knitted. It was made to provide support for the RNLI.

Pretty clothes from movies such as Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility.

Cable cars! It was really fun! Josie and I wish everyone else wanted to go on it too!

Easter Weekend

This Easter weekend has been very chill! I've been crafting the whole weekend and spending time with family and friends. I've also eaten a whole heap of chocolate, which I kind of regret, but not that much because it was yummy! I've finished my snood and I'm so glad. I've been working on it since the beginning of February. While I was in bed this morning I thought I'd try to make some flowers and hearts. I got a bit confused by the flowers because the book I have is written in UK terminology and I taught myself from US terminology so it was a bit confusing. Kind of got there in the end. Now I've decided to start a new project of making a granny square blanket! But I've run out of wool! I managed to make 3 small squares before I ran out of the green wool. So I've ordered more of that and some cream and navy for two more rounds. Then my blanket will be well on it's way. I get so excited awaiting packages of yarn!! While I wait for it, I'll do more of my cross stitching.

Let's Sew

I'm about to start this quite perfect cross stitch! I just need to get organised with it and then I'll be off! :D
